Hi,
Generally speaking Denmark is very safe and serious crime is more uncommon than in the UK. There is brawling late a night after the bars close in some areas, but again that only effects the couple of people who are drunk and fighting.
Few years ago there was some problem with the Mohammed cartoons and now there is a renewed concern that there may be some terrorist retributions - but that again seems a worldwide concern.
If your daughter is careful, there should really be no concerns about safety. I would suggest she does not travel alone at night on public transport - there are often groups of drunks who can cause problems and a single girl could be a target for some harassment.
Areas like Nørrebro in Copenhagen should also be avoided at night, since there are some gangs that frequent that area and there is occaisionally some violence. During the day it is fine, but no need to take unnecessary chances.
Assuming she is going be at university, she will most often be surrounded with her classmates and other students, so you can feel comfortable that she is safe.
On a personal note: I lived and worked throughout the UK for 6 years and I feel much safer in Denmark than I ever did in the UK. She will be fine.

Could you find a rendition of 'Kong Christian stod ved højen mast' where the Music and the singing is synchronised. It would sound much better. Please.
