Thanks for the tips

by Cata
(Finland )

I had the most horrendous experience ever with these f******. I lost my train and ferry because this person did not let me go when I had mistakenly used my ticket in a wrong place. It was obvious that I was only a bypasser tourist. So insensitive and rude behavior while I am explaining that my train is departing. For sure never come back to Denmark again in my life.

So do you know about Finland whether they come after me here in case I don't pay? We are also part of Nordics.

Don't know for sure.

Honestly can not tell you what they will do. Guess if they have your information they can contact the Finnish authorities. Doubt they will, but they might. Sorry that your experience was so bad, but it is unfortunately not a common experience - the controllers over here are NEVER? very friendly or helpful. Probably are some that are understanding, but have yet to hear about any.

P.S. With as many tickets as they give out each year, I seriously doubt that they ever try to go after people who have left Denmark. Never read about any such cases in the papers or on the web - if anyone out there has heard about such cases, let us know.

It's true that you don't need the passport to cross the borders but, you do need a passport to identify your self to a police officer if they ask you.
