Tax refund in Denmark

by Mario
(Germany)

Hello everyone, I have lived and worked as a student in Odense during this year, but I moved back to Germany 4 months ago. I worked only a few times in Odense but I paid relative high taxes. I heard that there is normally a tax repayment at the end of the year. Due to the fact that I donĀ“t live in Denmark anymore, I am afraid that I didn`t get informed. I also don`t have (or don`t know) my online account to check such information. It would be great if you can check if I have any claims of tax repayments and if so how I can get them on my German bank account. (personal details deleted here).
Thank you very much in advance. I hope to hear from you soon. Warm regards, Mario

Tax Refund
by: Charlie

First, I have deleted your personal information, which you should never give people your CPR number or other details - can lead to lots of problems for you. As for getting a tax refund - you need to contact SKAT at www.skat.dk and tell them what you are looking for. This is nothing I or anyone else can help you with. This is a matter you and SKAT have to work out or if you have an accountant (but that is probably not the case).

It's true that you don't need the passport to cross the borders but, you do need a passport to identify your self to a police officer if they ask you.
