Control passport

Hi , ive been reading a lot of this stuff, and the problem is that I went to cpng in January and the ticket machines didn’t work also were nobody who can help me. I was rushing because I needed to take a flight to my original place ( Mx ) so I up to take the metro without ticket. A stweward stoped me and ask me for my passport, I gave all the necessary information and of course receive the fine for 750. I lost the paper and I tried so many times to contact the metro number here in Mx but couldn’t did anything. After 5 months I’m coming back to Copenhague and Im worry to have problems at airport. As I said I’ve been reading a lot of these situations, and I just want to know the probabilities or if anyone has an experience coming back do Denmark !

Hi,

Not sure if I can alleviate your worries. Do not think that passport control will stop you, but I do NOT know that for sure. I would make sure to buy the right ticket this time. If you get stopped by the controller and he asks to see your passport again than you might be in trouble. They do not ask for passports if you have a valid ticket. They can be bought at the kiosk at the airport. The kiosk is at the top of the stairs to the metro and train platforms. You have to pass it to get to the train or metro.

It's true that you don't need the passport to cross the borders but, you do need a passport to identify your self to a police officer if they ask you.
