Hi there,
my husbad and I are in Denmark in May for a week. We would like to travel across Denmark, ending up in Aahus and then ferrying ourselves and our hire car back to Zealand to get back to the airport. Is there an English website that gives booking, prices and times for the ferry? I have been trying to find some info but am not getting anywhere at all. Wish I spoke some Danish.
Cheers, Janet

Hi Janet,

If you are driving from Copenhagen in Sjælland, you can drive over the Storbælt Bridge to Odense and than continue on to Jutland, where you can go north to Arhus or south. Lots to explore in Jutland. The ferries go from both Arhus and Ebeltoft (located east of Arhus) back to Sjælland so you can avoid the bridge. The site www.mols-linien.dk is where you can find all the information. They do have an english translation page, but it is very sketchy (not much info),

What you want to do is download the "fartplanen", which means timetable. Terrible english phrase. You want the Arhus to Odden schedule or Ebeltoft to Odden. Afgang means departure time. You can copy and paste danish phrases into google translate and that will guide you along. There is no comprehensive information in English. If you have questions, please email me and will try to guide you more. Priser are prices. If you go to "book billet", you should get an option to translate from Danish to English and that pretty much walks you through the process. You can order your tickets and pay when you arrive at the dock. This insures you have a spot, especially important during the summer season. Early morning trips are usually booked solid as are early afternoon - commuter traffic!
Hope that helps you out, if not I am only a click away.
