Often in supermarkets if you buy more than one of a certain item you get a discounted price and I've noticed that the price for more than one is bigger than the price for just one. Very confusing.

Answer from FYI:

Jennifer,
Not sure what you are referring to? Often there are specials where you can a discount, but it may be limited to a certain number, like 3 per customer and than the price goes back to normal. In that case, just buy the 3 and go back in and buy another 3 if you need more. Denmark does not have coupon or many types of discounts, because it would be in direct conflict with the "jante lov". Everyone is equal and if you get a discount and someone else does not have a coupon, than they could not get the same - that would be wrong under "jante lov". That could explain what you are experiencing. Maybe some more detail could help me understand your situation.
